When I was a little girl I loved playing around with the Microsoft suite of programs. I always enjoyed making all of my school projects pretty with funky borders and cool fonts.
One day, my father noticed my interest and asked if I would make him a coupon for his business. I was thrilled and quickly opened up Microsoft Publisher. After putting my finishing touches on the design I proudly sent it off to his office manager.
A few weeks later a letter came in the mail for me. It was a printed copy of the coupon with a check for $25 for my design services.
This was where I first learned what graphic design was and that I could make a career out of my fascination with fonts and layouts.

From there I took every computer course I could in high school, learning the basics of the Adobe Suite, and then on to college to learn how to apply my skills to create designs for advertising and marketing.

Today my career is as a graphic designer and marketing specialist. I've made flyers, built websites, and generated graphics for wall art, stickers, and shipping trucks.

I use my skills with visual communication to back up marketing efforts, put together trade show booths, and create banners and backdrops for advertising events.
